Galway, Ireland

Ireland’s “Wild West” is relatively undeveloped for incentive groups, however it’s remoteness and beauty lend it a particular charm for visitors. Festivals of music, literature, film and arts run throughout the year, and the August racing and September’s Oyster festival are additional highlights.

Trip activities
You can’t go to Ireland without coming into contact with the nation’s love of horses, and Galway is the place to discover this. The Point Pony Trekking and Horse Riding Centre in Galway can take groups of up to 10 people to discover the West of Ireland on horseback. The riding centre is situated right beside the Atlantic Ocean and the famous Connemara Championship Golf Links. With the Twelve Bens as a backdrop, the Atlantic Ocean at your feet, the picturesque fishing village of Roundstone and the colorful town of Clifden only a few miles away, it doesn't come any more scenic than this! Forty minutes north of Galway lies the five star Ashford Castle. Dating back to 13th century, the hotel has 83 bedrooms, a spa and offers a range of activities including classic pastimes such as clay pigeon shooting, fishing or falconry, to more modern activities such as golf, cycling and kayaking.
