I know what you’re thinking, is it really that time again? How can we be mentioning the C word when summer has only just come to an end? But the supermarkets are filling their shelves with chocolate selection boxes, so we know the carol singers will be knocking at the door in no time.

Here at Corporate Rewards, we’ve been rivalling Santa’s workshop and have been busy elves ourselves preparing to launch our new Christmas shop. The Christmas shop of rewards includes a catalogue which acts as our customers go-to gift guide whereby they can redeem the points they have accrued from participating in an incentive programme or rewards and recognition scheme (that we have implemented within their company), against selected participating products.

I have been involved with six Christmas Periods whilst working at Corporate Rewards and I know that a good reward is something that is sought after and something that is new, fresh, and exciting! Certain products each year will always be considered rewarding and popular and this will often be the latest technology and gaming products, perfumes, wine, hampers (Cheese is my favourite!), and gadgets. However we have seen a more varied range of products being in demand, in recent years.

We had to think carefully about what to include when forming our new catalogue, taking into consideration:

  • Who the product aimed at – an individual or as a gift?
  • Range of points values
  • Luxury rewards Vs stocking fillers
  • Are there enough rewards available for Children? For Him? For Her? For the home?
  • Do we need a certain brand, or model?

Christmas rewards at Corporate Rewards

Present purchasing and prepping for the big day can be a manic panic and tough on the purse strings, for some. The Christmas spirit can dwindle, rather than be a magical and heart-warming event. That’s not what we want, especially as our customers have worked so hard throughout the year on motivation, recognition, productivity and engagement. We’ve created the Christmas catalogue in the hope of being able to help relieve some of that pressure and loosen up the novelty apron strings, by making the products available for gifts or as practical help to ensure the day runs smoothly.
And not forgetting, Christmas is that time of the year where we take time out to treat ourselves too, so some ‘me-time’ rewards needed to have been included too.

Christmas is a time for giving. But it’s also a time of thinking of others less fortunate than ourselves. That’s why we’ve ensured that there’s an option for customers to use their points against a charity donation if they so wish. This was the most popular option for our customers in 2013 and we’re sure it will be just as popular this year.

So what did we include? Here’s just a taster of what we have incorporated in the gift guide... the full catalogue launches into all Corporate Rewards built incentive and loyalty programmes on the 15th October.
