An online portal which provided an incentive module to help drive sales and simultaneously reward customers for their loyalty and custom.

What we did

The City Plumbing Christmas Club Points Promotion is run every year, encouraging customers to buy more to earn more points, and grow their rewards, but it doesn’t just stop there, the promotion is vital in support sales and improving YOY sales figures.

With very little time to plan a better streamlined incentive this year, Corporate Rewards had to work quickly. We prepared a proposal that not only met the clients aims and objectives but ensured that the promotion was easy to understand and run for both City Plumbing staff and customers, and address some of the issues experienced previously.

It was a difficult task, ensuring that stakeholders were kept informed and the project ran on time, the timelines were very tight. A new branded website with better functionality was built, giving the promotion a new brand and a clean fresh look and ensuring that users had everything they needed with just a few clicks. We worked with City Plumbing to create a system that support the high number of users and complex data process involved.

The Christmas Club Points Promotion started to take shape, the focus of the promotion was to encourage customers to buy eligible products during September – December the more they bought the more points they earned. If they met a qualifying points threshold they would receive a gift card in time for Christmas, and then in January they would get a bonus gift card to hit the January sales with. All City Plumbing customers had to do is register, select a gift card, continue to shop with City Plumbing then sit back and wait for their reward.

Corporate Rewards managed everything from planning and building the website, running the promotion, dealing with the day to day queries from staff and customers through a dedicated phone line and ensuring all the customers received their gift cards.

The promotion was a great success, initial take up was very high with 4000 customers registered in the first month following a pre-launch communication campaign and we rewarded over 2500 customers with reloadable gift cards. Corporate Rewards had some great feedback from City Plumbing especially at branch level by people that worked with the incentive on a day to day basis.
