The Solution

Corporate Rewards designed a customer loyalty programme with a sales incentive element, called ‘Team up with Honeywell’. We developed an online site that was Honeywell branded and included the logos of all the product ranges within the Honeywell portfolio, which would help highlight and increase brand awareness of all their offerings. The imagery on the site also included the Christmas theme.

What we did

Honeywell UK were looking to run a short-term tactical incentive programme with a Christmas theme, that would drive incremental sales of Honeywell products, promote brand awareness of different product ranges and build the customer database for future marketing campaigns.

Corporate Rewards designed a customer loyalty programme with a sales incentive element, called ‘Team up with Honeywell’. We developed an online site that was Honeywell branded and included the logos of all the product ranges within the Honeywell portfolio, which would help highlight and increase brand awareness of all their offerings. The imagery on the site also included the Christmas theme.

The bespoke site was designed to encourage Installers who purchased any products in the Honeywell range to upload the details of their purchases and then be entered into a prize draw for a chance to receive a high value premium reward, once the claim was approved.

The more sales claims they uploaded, the more opportunities they had to win a prize. There were two prize draws included within the incentive, which enabled the Installers to have a target to work towards and keep the momentum of the programme flowing.

The number of claim submissions received, over achieved by +82% against the initial target.

Installers also had the opportunity to receive further rewards through the referral scheme, which we designed as a way of building the customer database. When Honeywell customers recommended the brand or product to their colleagues, they were thanked via an online scratchcard and the chance to win a prize.

The referral scheme received over 500 claims in the first month and 173% increase in open rate above industry average for the targeted emails sent.

We developed a tailored multi-channel online and offline communications plan to encourage involvement. Prior to launch, existing customers were invited and pre-registered on the website. Whilst lapsed clients were targeted and encouraged to get involved, through a reactivation campaign.

The offline package, including posters and flyers, assisted the Wholesalers in promoting the campaign in-store, gain new customers and develop existing relationships. The sales team were incentivised to do this, with the top performers being rewarded.

And an extensive national advertising campaign within industry publications, also generated awareness.

Throughout the incentive period, we sent a series of targeted emails to participants reminding them of the promotion and prizes available to them to win, in order to encourage further purchasing. These communications resulted in a 79% increase in programme site hits after the emails were sent.

Even over a short period of time, this incentive programme achieved and exceeded the key objectives set out, increased engagement levels all the way through and received double the claims towards the end of the programme than the beginning.
