What we did

Samsung Electronics (UK) approached Corporate Rewards to introduce an incentive targeting their distributors to drive sales of selected notebooks to unmanaged resellers.

Key to Samsung’s requirements was speed of launch for the incentive and minimal input required from distributors in order to participate. To fulfil this objective, Corporate Rewards implemented an online scratchcard game as it’s highly flexible, cost effective and activities could be tracked and provide performance accountability and user activity evaluation. The site and all supporting comms were designed with full Samsung branding. The use of scratchcards was a fun, instant and an engaging reward mechanism for the distributor.

Distributors provided sales report data to Samsung who then confirmed codes to be issued to Corporate Rewards who issued codes via branded HTML email to the distributors with a link to the scratchcard to play and see if they had won a lifestyle e-voucher.

Vouchers could then be spent with a wide range of retail partners from restaurants to travel companies such as Marriott, De Vere and Opodo, entertainment with the likes of LoveFilm, Cineworld and Ticketmaster to days out at major attractions nationwide or even gifts with Interflora, Thorntons or Champneys.

The programme received such a positive response that the initial pilot was extended and the incentive ran for five months with 78% of codes played and a massive 82% of rewards claimed.
